When I first met Jean & Nick, it was through FaceTime– they were in Boston and I was in Edmonton and I found myself wondering, how lucky that they somehow found me all the way from there! I thanked the powers of social media and eagerly anticipated their big day, knowing that it was going to be an incredible wedding for so many reasons. The obvious one is that anyone can see these two are the cutest ever! I recognized Jean immediately from her uber-popular Style Blog “Extra Petite” and then quickly learned that the talented photographer for her blog is none other than her handsome fiancée Nick. Talk about a match made in blogger heaven! And if you check out their super cute engagement story on Jean’s blog HERE, you’ll fall in love with them too! I also just shared all about their chic co-ed garden-themed bridal shower HERE.
The pressure was on to capture their wedding day well because as you can see, they’re both so good at making everything look awesome!! Along with my good friend/work wife Sharon (who’s also crazy busy with her own photography business but was kind enough to join me on this adventure!) we got to capture their perfectly intimate day. Jean, Nick and all their friends and family were incredibly gracious and made us feel so welcome in Boston. Because I just had waaaay too many favourites, I’m splitting this day into 2 parts just so it doesn’t wind up the world’s longest blog post! Here now, is Part 1, which features their morning, a First Look and a traditional Tea Ceremony. Jean wore a gorgeous not-so-traditional chinese gown that was custom-made for her by her very talented friend/bridesmaid/designer Khatu Ho. It was just one of the 3 amazing gowns she wore that day.
OK so I hope you’ll enjoy Part 1! And stay tuned for Part 2 coming soon… I promise you won’t want to miss it!
