Here’s the thing. I’ve had this desire to shoot a session with a tree swing in my head for a long time now. The idea of a couple sneaking off alone together to their own secret little romantic spot in the country. When my friend Sarah told me she got engaged to Mark and that they wanted a romantic & rustic e-session, I just knew I had the right couple for this shoot. I’ve shot Sarah a couple times in the past, and she’s always so inspiring to work with. Throw in the amazing skills of Sunita Sumaru to do the hair & makeup styling, and we had a collaborative dream team! And of course, I have to give special props to my awesome husband who always supports me 110% when I need anything to do with my business. He built the swing, hung it up and helped me scout the perfect locations.
After rescheduling this shoot 3 times due to rain, we finally got the most perfect night and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how everything turned out. I hope this e-session tells a story– one that’s sweet, romantic, and genuine –just like Sarah & Mark.
**Oh, and since there was SOOO many amazing shots, I’ve decided to blog it in 2 parts. So here’s Part 1!

I know it’s stating the obvious, but geeez, aren’t these two gorgeous? Straight out of an Abercrombie & Fitch ad!

I’m not normally one for props during a shoot, but I absolutely loved this swing! It gave us a chance to be playful and sweet without it feeling too contrived and set up. I love how this looks like a young couple flirting with each other in the early stages of their relationship.

Mark is extremely sweet and doting with Sarah, and I just loved how utterly adorable they were together. Ahhh, to be young and in love![]()

Sarah & Mark~ You know I love you guys! Thanks for being so trusting of me and Sunita, and yet so invested and involved in bringing this shoot to life. You’re not only 2 stunningly gorgeous people, but you have beautiful spirits to match!
Sunita~ Woman, is there anything you CAN’T do?! Thank you for always collaborating so perfectly with me– you’re the yin to my yang!
Stay tuned for Part 2 of this session coming very soon. You won’t want to miss it~ things get a little less sweet and a whole lot more steamy! ;)
XOXO
