OK, so besides the fact that Lisa & JR are two of the kindest, most considerate people in love that I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing, another fond memory from their wedding day that immediately comes to mind is how well they fed us! When we first met up with them several months ago to shoot their e-session, JR had joked that his favorite scent on Lisa was when she smelled like food. Um, hello– were we separated at birth?? And then fast forward to their beautiful wedding day this summer and everywhere we went, there they were offering Sharon and I something to eat! Really, people– they had me at first bite. But enough about the way to my heart~ this is about how they found their way into each other’s. Their wedding was all about family, friends and celebrating their union with all the people they loved most. As someone watching it all unfold, it was so apparent that all the little things just didn’t matter. This wasn’t about the fuss and hoopla. Lisa & JR were the consummate hosts and more importantly, they were as genuine as they get. Which explains why they were constantly surrounded by a legion of good friends that wanted to help out at every moment of their big day. It was so great to be amidst all that sincere love. Enjoy some of our favorites from their lovely wedding~
They both got ready in separate rooms at the ultra modern and always awesome Matrix Hotel.
Remember what I said about tons of helpful friends always ready to help? Most of these girls weren’t even bridesmaids… just true friends that wanted to be there for Lisa.
Looks like we weren’t the only paparazzi there that day!
I love everything about this shot. Lisa & JR you two look fabulous!!
Gorgeous light, a beautiful couple and tons of love.
This was snapped on the floor of the Convocation Hall on the U of A Campus. I’ve shot in there before but this is by far my favorite picture we’ve ever captured there. So much drama and damn sexy if I don’t say so myself!
Lisa & JR~ thanks for always treating Sharon and I with so much kindness and consideration. We really felt like old friends hanging out more than people that had only met a couple times Your wedding day was so much fun and we know that’s entirely because of the kind of people are.
Special thanks to Miss Sharon Litchfield for the assist once again. Like a good meal, you always find your way in my heart!
