jenni & tim: married | edmonton wedding photographer

It doesn’t matter if I’ve been married for 8 years– it never fails– when I shoot a really stunning wedding, I always find myself wanting a “do-over” for myself!  🙂  And when it’s a wedding like Jenni & Tim‘s, which was filled with tons of personal DIY details and beautiful creative touches, you really can’t blame me!  I mean, talk about one crazy gorgeous couple with style to spare.  And then you meet their equally beautiful bridal party, and well, let’s just say my camera didn’t stop snapping all day.  In between a TON of laughs (this was one wild & hilarious crew) and lots of cute cuddles, we were able to capture so many awesome photos that it was nearly impossible to narrow them down for this blog post.  I know I’ve never been great at keeping things short & sweet when it comes to blogging but there’s just too many favorites!!  So grab a drink, sit back, and enjoy!  And just TRY not wishing some of this cuteness for your own wedding (or in my case– your imaginary “do-over” wedding haha!)

An old bathtub in the middle of the bar?  Sure! Why not??  😉

I really couldn’t take a bad photo of these two if I tried!  Both so natural and comfortable in front of the camera– and of course, ridiculously good-looking.  I really had to resist the urge to ask them both for style & beauty tips and just do my job- haha!

Absolutely in love with the bridal party’s outfits too!  The coral and navy are so unconventional and chic!  The best part though was this group would go from magazine models to complete goofballs– and I loved it!

The Enjoy Center was the perfect venue for Jenni & Tim’s wedding reception– it’s actually a greenhouse with tons of natural light and clean lines to compliment their romantic, garden theme.  With the help of a super talented florist, a great wedding planner, and awesome friends– Jenni actually put lots of this together herself.  Beautiful, smart and talented- talk about a triple threat!

Jenni & Tim– I’m over-the-moon happy that you chose me to photograph your special day.  Thank you for being so warm and genuine and for letting me follow you lovebirds around on the happiest day of your lives 🙂   I wish you an amazing love-filled future together (along with little Maddie!)

Special thanks to my amaaazing second shooter for the day- Jessica.  You are so crazy talented and a ton of fun!

najla & alaa: married | edmonton wedding photographer

I’ve had the very great honour of having a couple of my weddings featured in Blush, Edmonton’s premier wedding & lifestyle magazine, but when their editor-in-chief said she wanted to hire me for her own upcoming nuptials I couldn’t have been more flattered!    Together with some of Edmonton’s finest wedding vendors, Najla & Alaa threw one gorgeous wedding, and I was so honoured to be chosen to capture it all for them.

With their traditional ceremony taking place a couple days prior, the wedding day mainly consisted of a first meeting, photos with their bridal party and then an amazing reception at the Matrix Hotel.  Here now is a super-sized blog post capturing all the highlights (there were many!), but for a more in-depth look into Najla & Alaa’s story and how they fell in love, definitely check out the Fall/Winter issue of Blush Magazine which is available now both in print and online.  For more details on how to get a copy, click HERE.

At her send-off, there really was not a dry eye in the house (including mine!)

I love love LOVED their color scheme!  Soft and romantic but with a little sparkle- so gorgeous.  Not to mention Najla & her bridesmaids looking just stunning.

Not a shabby looking group of men either!  Alaa looking utterly dapper in his custom tux!

Created at the talented hands of Janine at FaBLOOMosity, Najla’s bouquet was truly a thing of beauty.  The shot above with Alaa holding the bouquet is what now graces the cover of the latest Blush Magazine!  I couldn’t have been more happy with this choice.

Then it was time to sneak just Najla & Alaa off for some alone time at one of my favorite venues, The Art Gallery of Alberta.

Finally, it was time to head to their reception at The Matrix Hotel where not a detail was overlooked.  From the exquisite florals, to the decadent seven-tiered cake, everything was just dripping with gorgeousness and I’m so happy that Najla was able to see her vision come to life!

Najla & Alaa~ your day was as beautiful and full of love as a wedding photographer could ever ask for.  It’s apparent that friends and family mean everything to you, and that your love for each other shines so bright.  It was my privilege to have been able to play such an important role in your big day– thank you for always being such an incredible supporter of my work and for all your kind, generous words along the way.  Wishing you both a lifetime of love, health and happiness as you embark on your new journey together in Philadelphia.
