Krista & Paul met while both taking the same personal fitness training course at school. The timing was off though as they were each in relationships, but as fate would have it, they came back to school in their second year both single, and fell hard for each other. To see them today, you can really see the warmth and love that they share– both in the quiet unspoken moments, and while they’re laughing and being silly. They’re self-described “outdoorsy people” so they knew they wanted their engagement shoot to be somewhere in nature and uber romantic— well what better than a gorgeous patch of lush cherry blossoms? In Edmonton, these beautiful trees are infamously only in season for barely a couple weeks, and we were fortunate enough to have them on the most perfect evening, with the most lovely spring breeze in the air.
Here are some of my favorites from their e-session (although, they were all pretty much my favorites so you’re seeing most of them!)~
I was totally in love with Krista & Paul’s styling– pretty much want to buy her exact outfit for myself! 😉 When we came across this awesome worn-out wood shed, I just knew it’d look great with the pop of blue from their outfits– and it did! Rustic but still so chic.
In my opinion, every e-session should capture some truly magical romantic moments between a couple, and nothing says romance to me, like kissing in a tree 😉 haha! Thanks to Krista for being a trooper and making it look easy, when really, she was gripping onto that awkward branch with all her might! Love these shots.
As we came up to our last spot, which was an old brick building, Paul told me he is a refractory bricklayer~ how fitting! I seriously couldn’t get enough of photographing these two– the were an absolutely adorable couple and totally amazing in front of the camera. It was just one of those times when my job feels so easy 😉
Krista & Paul~ Thank you for the amazing night, and for being so naturally you and so adorably in love. To say that I’m excited for your upcoming July wedding is an understatement–I can’t wait!!
Special thanks to Sunita Sumaru for yet another gorgeous makeup job on Krista. You’re awesome!
