For the last 4 years, I've gotten to do my dream job. How many people get to say that? I have to pinch myself every so often because I still can't believe how I ever got so lucky.

With a fashion-inspired and more modern approach to photography, I'm always aspiring to capture couples looking beautiful and in love. It's my hope that your photos will be at times dramatic, often creative, and always utterly romantic.

Meet Ainsley~ a lovely Canadian girl who lives in New York, just married her handsome French husband Charles and the two are now heading off to live in Paris! Don’t we all sorta kinda TOTALLY envy this story so far?? :) With an amazing New York wedding already under their belts, they came to us to help add a few more pretty photos to their collection. Like many couples, Ainsley and Charles found that they didn’t quite have enough time on their actual wedding day for formal pictures so they decided to get all dolled up again and dedicate a relaxing afternoon to snapping more intimate, romantic pictures of them in their beautiful vintage-inspired wedding outfits. Cheryl photographed this winter session in Vancouver at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver as well as the Vancouver Art Gallery. Here’s some of our favorites from what we like to call this “Day After” Shoot~

Best way to start a new year? Being selected as one of Blush Magazine‘s Favorite Photos of 2010!! Blush is Edmonton’s premier luxury wedding & lifestyle magazine and is a great resource for brides looking for the best event vendors and services in town. We loooove them and we also loooove our ridiculously gorgeous couple Davina & Brian for helping us create one of our favorite images to date! **A little behind-the-scenes fun fact about this picture~ that branch was actually really high up and without so much as even a moment of hesitation, Davina hiked up her giant train and climbed up fearlessly! So I thought the blog needed a little wedding love on it during this chilly winter evening and decided to post some of my favorites from a wedding I shot with the super talented Sharon Litchfield. On this occasion, I was happy to take on the role of “second shooter” for her, and enjoy a far less stressful day. As a second shooter, you’re really able to think creatively and stretch your artistic chops since you’re not having to worry about getting all the “safe shots”.

Looking back at these photos, two things are really obvious to me– how natural and in love Sylvia and Mike were with each other, and of course, how gorgeous they both are! I gave up spending Father’s Day with my kids and husband to shoot this wedding with Sharon, but really, I couldn’t think of a more amazing couple to make that sacrifice for. Here’s some of my favorites from their day~

Hope you’re all staying warm! T-Minus 32 days until we’ll be lying on the beach in Hawaii… not that I’m keeping track or anything

Happy New Year friends! It’s been a relaxing and downright coma-inducing 2 weeks off for me and I must confess that in the midst of all my family fun and festivities, I didn’t exactly get around to upkeeping the blog like I thought I would (head hung low) I’ll be honest, as soon as I was in “holiday mode” there was no looking back and thus, the couple posts I had saved up and ready to post just never made it to you… until now!

Ange and Cam are old friends of ours from waaaaay back in the day, which seems to fit the running theme here, since these pictures were taken waaaaay back in the summer I never got a chance to blog them earlier but decided that Ange is just too dang cute preggers to not show off. They’ve since welcomed adorable little baby James to the world, and we’re so happy for them (so happy, in fact– that we’re one day going to share with him tons of crazy stories about his parents!!)
