If it was one thing I knew, this wedding was going to ooze style, elegance and heart. I looked forward to it since the day Davina & Brian booked us way back when and it certainly surpassed every expectation I had. These two have gone through a lot to be together including a couple moves back and forth from Vancouver, which is where we shot their awesome e-session in December. That session gave us a glimpse into how fabulously they were going to ‘work it’ for their wedding pics and work it they did!! Throughout the day, Cheryl and I felt like we were photographing 2 models for a fashion spread… the only giveaway that it was an actual wedding was how obviously in love they were. You’d think that amongst all the craziness it’d be hard to get lost in the romance of what this day really means, but Davina & Brian really seemed to have eyes only for each other and it truly touched my heart. They were so sweet and affectionate that it inspired us shot after shot ~and what we ended up with was some real photo magic (a ton of it!)
Here’s where I throw in my disclaimer: it was really too hard to narrow the pics down so today’s post is super-sized 😉 Happy Friday!
Davina had –count ’em– 5 stunning dresses! Each was more gorgeous than the next. After I saw these I immediately called to interrogate my husband on why I was only allowed one dress 😉
I love this photo so much. Pure beauty.
Not sure if you noticed, but Brian’s a pretty handsome fella.
Oh be still my heart… Davina you are so gorgeous it hurts my eyes.
I don’t like to use this word because it gets so over-used all the time… but it’s really the only word to describe this shot: epic. so epic.
It was kind of perfect how we happened along this cute little fruit stand. Thanks to the owner who let us have free reign over it. Nothing says ‘summer wedding’ better than this!
Then we finished off the shoot at the place where it all began– Davina & Brian met in this parking lot and well, the rest is history.
We got to go a little “ring crazy” with all the pretty little details all over the place.
Davina & Brian~ thank you from the bottom of our hearts for choosing us to be a part of your most cherished memories ever, and for treating us like family every step of the way. Now that both the weddings are over though, I’m afraid I’m going to have to fast track my plan on how to get your parents to “adopt” me 😉
Lots of Love,
