My photoshoot with Rose and Sean will go down in Katch history as one of the most unique and memorable. It was the night before their scheduled Engagement Session and I was on the phone with Sean going over the final details of their shoot when he casually mentioned that they decided at the last minute to have a Marriage Commissioner marry them during the session! (pardon me??)
This Engagement/Wedding Shoot was definitely unconventional in many ways, with a bride in red, a groom without a tie, no guests and a photographer who doubled as a witness to the marriage! Despite these unique features, I quickly realized that all of the important elements of a wedding day were present – a beautiful, happy bride (in a pair of killer Manolo’s, I should add), a handsome, doting groom and a deep love for one another that is evident in something as simple as the way they look at each other.
What I’ve learned from Rose and Sean is that when strip away all of the pomp and circumstance that can come with a traditional wedding, you are left with what matters – vows that are spoken only to each other, a private kiss and an intimate moment to celebrate a new life together~
This shot takes my breath away. Pure and utter elegance.
oh wow~ you two are so gorgeous and especially beautiful together.
Then we finished off the shoot with a little walk in the rain in their lovely neighborhood. Can you believe the fall colors??
Rose and Sean~ Congratulations on your marriage and thank you for an beautiful “Engagement Session” that I’ll certainly never forget!
